Strategies

There are multiple strategies one can employ as the King of Nature, with more general tactics including taking advantage of the healing abilities of the Treant base and the unique perks favorable to increasing population sizes on plots.

The Boar Swarm

A late-game example of a Boar Swarm, with Farms increasing troop sizes and Paladins being strengthened by a Beacon and a Library.

The Boar troop is able to increase the stats of adjacent troops by 1% for every point of health it has when these troops mount the Boar in combat, with a new level 1 Boar providing a 15% buff to a mounting unit for example. When positioned at the center of your territory, it is easy to place next to the Boar at least one damage-dealing "fighter" troop to mount the Boars, and then surround the Boar with Forests to passively increase their health over time, thereby improving their buffs over the course of the game. Once a Boar-fighter combination is established, one can further scale the power of their armies by increasing the populations of the Boar and fighter troop plots, either with repeated applications of the Procreate card or by placing Farms on adjacent plots. To optimize the enhancement of your fighter troop(s), consider bolstering their base stats with assistive towers like Beacons or Blacksmiths. This will lead to additional, multiplicative improvements in combat performance once the fighter troops mount the Boars on the battlefield.

Curiosities

  1. According to producer André Young in a video about the game, the king of nature would summon bears.
  2. On demo, you can fight with the king of nature, but you can't play with him
    • Also in the demo, mycelium spores count as active units.
