Lab Rat

The Lab Rat is a melee troop under the King of Progress. The Lab Rats are very weak and only start with 2 units per troop. What makes them truly remarkable is their ability to level up in tandem with adjacent plots, unlimited by a level cap, giving them theoretically infinite scaling.

Tips:

• Lab rats as a single plot are typically not strong enough to survive alone. Their strength lies in having lab rats adjacent to each-other, combined with the Reinforce enchantment. This lets you extend the number of adjacent plots that can get leveled up to start leveling your lab rats, as well as letting you upgrade each one at the same time.
• This unit is also an ideal target for the Mortgage tome, as due to their infinite level scaling they can provide hundreds of gold per level depending on the final level of the lab rat troop. This can also be exceptionally powerful paired with the Dispenser tower, as it can provide a similarly large increase in attack speed.
